I've always really dug Flat Iron Mike's Mule. Great bike. More pictures here.

Deth Red Sabaoth

I had posted a link to the new Danzig song On A Wicked Night but had to delete the post because the link was down. Apparently the web-site that originally posted the song had done so without Danzig's permission and so had to take down the song. Too bad.
From what I've heard off of the new album, one full song and snippets from three others, it's going to be really good. I look forward to hearing the whole thing.

Scott Pommier

A few weeks ago I came across a picture of a girl on a bike posing in front of a Limo. I'd seen the picture on both the JJ and the Blood Falcons blog. This morning, while I was looking at the Way Out! blog I saw that very same picture. The photographer, Scott Pommier, has a bunch of cool photos on his website. Good stuff. I gravitated toward the pictures of girls and bikes; of course.

Enough, Tough Guy

Every scene has its fill of tough guys; the motorcycle scene is no exception. What's funny about this is that one would expect the Bagger and 1%er crowd to be populated by some guys who want to act tough but surprisingly enough the DIY crowd also has its fair-share of douche-bags as well. I understand how those who were part of a niche crowd get a little defensive once "their" scene is inundated with outsiders however, those who are the most vocal in the defense of their identity forget that at one point they too were an outsider.

Who cares what you like? Two wheels is two wheels is two wheels!

I wonder who there was to pick on before Harley introduced the Nightster.

Conan, Frazetta, and Electric Wizard

When I heard that Frazetta died today I revisited some of his Conan paintings. That led me to listen to Electric Wizard's Barbarian which is about Conan. This is one of my favorite tunes of all time.

Frazetta RIP

I was (still am) a big fan of Frazetta when I was growing up. His paintings of Conan are what originally made me aware of his work. Frazetta's Conan was a true barbarian: savage.
I can only imagine how many guys in the 60s and 70s were inspired by Frazetta's work and used his paintings on their bikes.
If I remember correctly, Frazetta had a serious stroke some years back that caused him to lose control of his right (painting) hand. He had to relearn how to paint, using his left hand. Pretty amazing display of willpower and talent.
