Street Chopper Party

I won't be able to make it to this event. Too bad. I bet it's going to be fun.

Bronk's Back!

Didn't have my bike for the weekend because I had dropped it off at the dealership to have them look at my front end. I'd been experiencing a little wobble with my bike when I'd hit the freeway so I thought it was finally time to have someone take a look at it. I suspected that my front wheel was out of true and since I don't know how to true a wheel I thought it best to take it to the dealership. Normally I'd be hesitant to give money to the dealership but since I had some gift certificates I thought it'd be best to use them on something useful instead of buying junk.

I picked my bike up today and was surprised at how well it handled. I guess I'd been so used to the front end wobbling for so long that I'd forgotten what it's like to ride without a wobble. The wheel's true and the steering column is a little tighter. Definitely an improvement.

I know a lot of guys talk trash about the dealership (a lot, rightfully so) but I'm a big believer in knowing your limits. I don't know the first thing about truing wheels so I think it's best to have someone who knows what they're doing take care of business.

Now that my bike's back I can get to work on fabbing a bracket for my pipes.

Patience young grasshopper, patience.

Well, started painting some pipes a few days back and rushed the job resulting in a shoddy set of pipes. I had to spend an hour or so today sanding them down to start all over. I resprayed the pipes (still not done) and they're looking much better. I need to paint the mufflers sometime soon but won't do so until I get my bike back. I had to take my bike into the dealer today because I finally got fed up with the wobble in my front end. I'm not sure if the steering column is a little screwy or if my wheel's out of true. Whatever the problem, I hope it's solved. I want to put some serious miles on Bronk this upcoming spring and summer. Maybe Mexico, possibly Los Padres National Forest, and Death Valley? Time will tell.

Dirty, Dirty Helmet

I had a short but torrid affair with this little S.O.B. It's being passed around these here United States like a two-bit whore. I tried to ply it with liquor but still didn't get anywhere with it. Even Jack didn't have any luck with it.

So I took this little tramp back down to Biltwell HQ.

Last I heard this thing's in Vegas. Hope it didn't get herpes!

Presents In The Mail

Over the last two days I've received quite a few presents in the mail.
Yesterday, I received this poster in the mail with a little piece of paper that could potentially transform into a Panhead in a couple of months.

Today I had two packages waiting for me once I arrived home. Just like Christmas!
First, NHMike from ChopCult sent me this cool hat:

My second package contained two new reverse cone mufflers. Good stuff!

Not a bad little score for the last couple of days. I'll be putting these mufflers to good use over the weekend.

And So It Begins

This will be the second go around. Things that happen, be they staged or spontaneous, shall be documented here. Arise my progeny. Now is the time of THE KULT OF SPEED!
