Motorcycle Camping

A buddy of mine and I took a few days off to do some camping during the Easter weekend. The plan was to head up to Mt. Pinos for four days. Another friend was going to meet us at the campground Friday night. Mt. Pinos was closed so we decided to try P-Bar instead. Neither of us had ever been to P-Bar but it was up in the mountains overlooking Ventura so we figured it must be a good area to check out. Unfortunately P-Bar was closed. We weren't too upset since the ride up the mountain had been awesome. Part of the road actually was on the ridge of the mountain. We rode down the mountain and headed over to Lake Cachuma. We ended up having to stay at a so-so campground because the road leading farther into the Los Padres National Forest was flooded. The next day we decided to head out to Davy Brown.

Heading out from Eagle Rock.

The essentials: good beer and plenty of water.

Campground by Lake Cachuma.
